Myer's cocktail

Has anyone tried using "Myers cocktail" for any symptoms such as fibromyalgia or peripheral neuropathy or autoimmune disease? Someone suggested it to me, I'd never heard about it.

I found this study from 2009 Intravenous Micronutrient Therapy (Myers' Cocktail) for Fibromyalgia: A Placebo-Controlled Pilot Study

The conclusion of the study were "This first controlled pilot study established the safety and feasibility of treating FMS with IVMT. Most subjects experienced relief as compared to baseline, but no statistically significant differences were seen between IVMT and placebo. The efficacy of IVMT for fibromyalgia, relative to placebo, is as yet uncertain."

Was it a doctor who suggested this treatment? Is it FDA approved and covered by insurance?
