I'm Melanie 2025. Have had chronic pain for 12 months. Was initially diagnosed with pudendal neuralgia but no meds or surgical interventions have been successful. All scans (MRI, CT, Ultrasound) "normal". Dismissed from the medical community as being a "frequent flier" and drug seeker. Really struggling and have zero quality of life.

I had spinal surgery in March this year. My T3 and T4 fused with a spacer in between. I'm not getting as much relief as I expected. Very disappointed, but this is the last resort after years of physical therapies, chiropractor, acupuncture, pain management epidurals, nerve blocks. My daughter came across this podcast by this guy who broke his back surfing, and for years had terrible pains. Couldn't even lift his baby from the crib. He is fine now, his theory is that even though the scans , MRI may show everything is healed, your mind and your body is nut talking the same language, your body is still thinking danger. Listen to him on Pain Academy. He's on YouTube too. All my X-ray, MRI showed that the surgeon had corrected everything structurally wrong with my spine. He's highly recommended. He suggested I see the pain management doctor which I'm delaying. I'm on gaberpantin now. I really don't want any more meds . Would welcome any suggestions. I can walk still. By the way, in June this year, only 3 Months after surgery, I flew up to Canada from D. California for my great neice's wedding. Stayed with my daughter in Washington State for a few days, walked up and down the stairs even though she had an elevator in her house and had a pretty good time. I fully thought I should be completely recovered by now.

Hi, I am Kelly and my husband is in pain all day and night. We have seen a slew of different doctors and nothing is found out. He is very frustrated as well as I am. He says he won't go see anyone else and just suffer with the pain. I look forward to reading what others have found works or doesn't work.

@kellybelter, if you don’t mind sharing, what is his condition that’s causing his pain?

@kellybelter similar to hraka13, not only his condition but where is his pain. I’d it all the time or come and go? Can he describe what the pain feels like?

@laura1970 he aches all the time, can't sit or lay in one spot for an extended period of time. Ibuprofen does nothing to help. He has pain all the time, never without pain.
