Your discussions have been moved to this new group. Be sure to follow the group to get notified of new posts.

So let’s get connected. Take a moment and introduce yourself. If you’re post-menopause, what’s one tip or coping strategy that has helped you most? And if you’re newer to this journey, what’s a question you’d like to ask the group?

@klp

Excellent!!!

@klp hi I am curious if anyone else has had bleeding after reaching menopause and had a hysteroscopy biopsy that was benign but still having bleeding issues oh also I had a endometrial ablation 4yrs ago at age 50 and the hysteroscopy biopsy was just scar tissue?

@klp thank you! I’m 57 and have struggled with joint pain (.foot pain) since my 40’s and brain fog much of my life but became significantly worse in my 40’s. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 51. I went through menopause at 52. I learned last year about how the HRT study of the early 2000 was so flawed, which got me thinking about the talking to my gyn about it. I am at a higher risk for breast cancer as my mom was diagnosed and my aunt (her breast cancer was caught at a very early stage), she is just fine. I see a doctor at a high-risk breast clinic and I’m monitored several times per year. At my last HRBC appointment she ran some scenarios and my life-time risk for breast cancer will be below 18% if I do or do not do HRT.
My night-time night sweats really don’t keep me up, I’m usually woken up by my bladder one time it is at this time that I feel sweaty. I return to bed and fall back to sleep and the the morning my bladder again with some sweating. If I have day sweats it doesn’t really affect me. I still have some brain fog.

Sorry for the long post, I seem to be more interested in HRT due to my joint pain and brain fog. My GYN perscribed the Estrogen and Progesterone to my….i have not used it yet…still out of concern for breast cancer although my like-time risk only goes up .4% and because of the vibe I got from my Gyn at the appointment. Thank you for reading if you’ve gotten this far. I still need to know if the perceived benefits of replacing estrogen for joint pain and brain fog is more helpful then my inherited breast cancer risks. Any relevant information would be helpful!
