Minoxidil containing ointments for use on the scalp will stimulate hair growth. Minoxidil was originally developed as a high blood pressure med but when taken orally had the side effect of causing hair growth everywhere. The scalp ointment doesn’t have systemic effects.

I’m trying a gummy called Balmbare for hopefully preventing hair loss from the GLP-1 medication I just started. I haven’t taken either of these long enough to see any effect, but FYI.
