What symptoms should i expect when getting off prostate medications
I am getting off prostate medications after 2 years and no sign of cancer. I was wondering what my body’s reaction to getting of the medications might be . Any experience would be helpful

If on Zytiga with prednisone you must taper off prednisone over a long period of time.
Better health. Lower LDL, red cell recovery resulting in more energy due to O2 recovery, clearer thinking, diminishing sweats if you had them and slowly returning to over all physical and mental normalcy.

2 ReactionsMy blood pressure and blood sugar normalized right away to the point that I no longer need medication. My red blood cell count also normalized. I still have hot flashes, and still have to combat bone and muscle loss and both anxiety and depression. Resistance training three days a week, walking (3 to 5 miles daily) intense yoga (3 hours per week), meditation and breathing exercises all help considerably. I still cry whenever I experience anything beautiful or sad and am more emotionally labile than before. These are all symptoms of low testosterone. I have been off Lupron and Abiraterone for 14 months. I was on them for 3 years. My testosterone is returning very slowly. The good news is that my PSA has been undetectable for over four years and PSMA PET scans have shown no signs of cancer.
