Is Fibromyalgia a progressive disease ?

haarvee, Mine has gotten progressively worse as well with 30 years of it. I wonder if it's because of just the normal age process of slowing down and not having the energy to fight it like I use too. I also have CFS with it, arthritis all over, both thyroid diseases & long Covid. Covid x2 did a lot of harm as well.

I have had to learn to pace myself more. I do a little something and rest, Repeat. I take a nap every day and that helps a lot. Find something daily to be grateful for, do something for someone else (quick card sent or phone call), and laugh. Laughter is such good medicine.

@covidstinks2023 This is why I say that though obviously related there are different types of Fibro or ME CFS (we need a name for all of them). You and I are in that group that gets progressively worse, and it can take me 3 or 4 months to recover from any doctor's visit. I exert myself too much, get an infection or get sick like you did with Covid , it sometimes causes permanent damage. Laughter - yes. Sleep - well, for me that's a Stephen King thriller, for another time. Thanks.
