@cash298 Please do not be terrified! I am hardly ever aware that it is even there, it paces my heart to be 60 beats a minute at rest. Knock on wood, it has never fired, just keeping the pace seems to be the solution here. I am grateful because I was getting to the point where I could not envision myself leading a life of dizziness and giddiness along with passing out (will I wake up)? I am a very active person. I think we all fear the unknown and this is/has been a big unknown for all of us who have an ICD and those who may get one. I like how you wrote "don’t feel like worrying about it, I think I’ll just take a nap...." You will cross the bridge to make a decision when you get there. If your doctor thinks you need the ICD, also think about your family and friends, we owe it to them as well as ourselves to take the very best care of ourselves.

@walkinggirl of course you are right, and I am prepared to go the distance with whatever I need to do, I don’t want to leave my grandkids without me.

@walkinggirl I ended up not getting an ICD, that’s a positive thing for now, but now I have deletes a UTI. I am waiting for treatment options, have only ever in my life had UTI nice, over 30 yrs ago, I think it’s related to Camzyos, there is a study indicating a possible link but no concrete evidence, but I’m sure it is what caused mine.
