Has Algeacal been researched by Mayo Clinic or by any patient?

@2buddy For myself, I know because of the Hasahimotos blood tests before and after that dental amalgams were the cause for me.

@lilac2025 Yes, I am doing some weights but I have to be careful since I had a severe L1 burst fracture a year and a half ago. I got a book recommended by others called “Exercises for Better Bones” by Margaret Martin, which was written for people with osteoporosis. I also started taking K-2 along with Vit. D, and started a liquid form of calcium. My Dr. does have me on Evenity so I will find out any results next March when I do my next DEXA scan. Hoping for some improvement.

Just curious how long you have been receiving evenity? And if you have had any issues or side effects.
Just received my 2nd dose and I feel like I wasn’t really given enough information as to what possible side effects and when. Even the paper in the box of evenity is pretty vague on this aspect. Yes it details what the side effects that may be associated , but not really any kind of timeline. If that makes any sense!
It’s a 12 month long process.

@ga29 Interesting the D level that was suggested for you. I was taking a combine supplement from Vitamin Shopped which contains the calcium from algae, and K2 and D. My serum vitamin D level is in the high 60's now. Endocrinologist said the D level is to high and to stop any supplements with vita D? I seemed to feel better on these supplements but I went back to just calcium citrate do to him. So since an older female with hashimotos also why did he say that the D serum level was too high?

@2buddy my doctor told me too much vitamin d can leech calcium from your bones. It's such a difficult balancing act!

I have been on Evenity for 9 months now, so 3 more to go. I really haven’t had any side effects. Sometimes there is a little joint pain in the elbows (pretty mild). This could be since your elbows are close to where the injection site is. I guess side effects will be different for different people. I really haven’t had any concerns or issues with taking this. I am just waiting for my next DEXA scan in March and hope there is some improvement.
