My wife had the same shakes after her liver transplant. We talked to our transplant team, and they said that it was something that happened on occasion. We were just a couple of months out. She is now 11 months out and along the way the shakes went away, they have monitored her meds the whole time of course and the never mentioned the medication as a cause. It might be in some, but my wife was really concerned and about the condition and feels so much better now that the shakes have gone. now too, she also had a kidney transplant at the same time so 2 organs twice the concern, but all is well now at 11 months. I hope this gives you a little comfort.

@miltonlee56 - Good morning, and Welcome to Connect.
Ths shakes, as your wife has experienced, are one of the common side effects that comes with some medications. In my experience, they did gradually go away, too! However, they are can be bothersome. I remember getting annoyed at one of my doctors who clearly emphasized that I would have to get used to them because I needed the medication at the prescribed dosage. Well, she was right. Over time as my tacrolimus dosage has been reduced based on my routine lab results, the shakiness is mostly just a memory. But occasionly, after 16 years with my beautiful organ(s) transplant, I do experience mild shakes on some mornings. They can be annoying if trying to thread a needle, or pen a hand written note, and since I do play violin I joke that I have an automatic vibrato on those occasions.

You were absolutely correct to talk to your transplant team about it. I commend you for doing so.
So - Congratulations! You and yout wife are about to celebrate 'your' first year transplant anniversary. How do you plan to honor/celebrate the occasion?
