Marginal zone lymphoma
Wondering if anyone has a lot of sweating. My hair gets soaked, think it's mainly my head.

Welcome to Connect, Jane.
I'd like to introduce you to @andilynn who is currently in remission from marginal zone lymphoma. I'm also bring @travelgirl @shelleyfl35 @lacey and @birdy48 into this discussion as they have been treated for a type of lymphoma, not marginal zone, but they may also have experience with sweating as a side effect.
Jane, are you currently in treatment? Do you know if this is a side effect of treatment?
I was diagnosed in January have completed 8 weekly treatments of rituxin. I was having this problem before treatment.
Hi Jane, my name is Lacey and Colleen is correct saying the sweats are part of the problem in the beginning, my symptoms started out with no appetite, losing almost 30 lbs and waking up every morning soaked through the skin , the bed was saturated, after chemo, lasting 6 months, my appetite was back to normal, unfortunately the weight returned, but I am staying at the same weight now for over a year ( which I am happy with ) and no more sweating By August 2017 I will be cancer free for 3 years, so been there , done that and Jane, keep your faith in God, he can make everything right again, god bless and good luck. Lacey
Thanks so much Lacy, so good to hear from you. This is new to me.
Hope I helped some, everyone is different, keep me updated my friend. Lacey
I am so happy you are cancer free Lacey, stay healthy!
Before I was on chemo sweating was one of my symptoms. Just like you, I was on chemo for 6 months. BVAD was the abbreviation for the 4 drugs that I was given. I had Hodgkin's lymphoma. I ended chemo in October 2014. Since then I never have the intense sweating which I had before, yet I still sweat some. It takes some time for symptoms to abate. Since it is uncharted territory for all of us the best way to look at it is that there will be some times that you simply do not know why certain things persist. I had thick curly hair before treatment. Now I have thin curly hair. I have friends who got back every single hair on their head. It is unique how each of respond. It is such a small price to pay.
Thank you so much
