What brought you joy today?

Posted by northoftheborder @northoftheborder, Jun 28, 2024

If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:

1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Wonderful news. It sounds like you might be in the same hospital I was in when I had my surgery…had a beautiful view of the City. It certainly lifted my spirits. Many good wishes to you. You’re on a good path.

My daughter and I decorated the Christmas tree! I’m so happy to spend time with her. 💖

Finishing memorising two new pieces on classical guitar: Francisco Tárrega's "Capricho Árabe" and Julián Arcas' "Bolero in Am."

Also, tea. 🫖

Congratulations, North! Two beautiful pieces which appear/soundvery difficultult to master (I watched/listened to them on YouTube). The tea is well deserved!

Celebrating the 4th anniversary of the day I was finally able to come back home after 3 1/2 months in hospital.

I was in a wheelchair then because of the damage the prostate cancer lesion had done to my spine. Today I'll be out clearing snow from the driveway.

Happy Anniversary, North! I like your practice/attitude of celebrating all that we are able to do today, even resistance training by snow removal.
