Gas & Gurgling: Anyone have this after colon cancer surgery?
I was diagnosed with colon cancer in April 2021 and had surgery in May 2021 to remove two cancerous tumors, which fortunately did not spread. A colon resection was done. My question ... it seems that ever since then, I have increased gas and my stomach frequently makes noise. I also notice that my bowel movements are very loose, similar to diarrhea. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks so much.

1 ReactionI had 1/3 of large transverse large intestine removed due to colon cancer. I got an illeus and then a rupture at anastomosis and became septic . After months of treatment I am now recovering but MD thinks I am developing adhesions . How do any of you handle adhesions ? It is very painful and I can eat very little.

1 ReactionI had my colon surgery in 2017 for stage 3B rectal cancer
Till date I am experiencing frequent stools which keep me awake even at night, because it was a descending colon pouch.
It is my high fibre diet which I follow as a strategy to prevent recurrence. Some price to stay in remission:)
