Great posts , we got tired of listening to well meaning family and friends who have found something wonderful as an alternate treatment . Choosing to to listen and follow the people who have made a career of treating this monster has given us an extra year now , and we will keep listening .

@jadees I was asked just this morning why I am not looking into alternative treatments. I HAVE tried acupuncture. That's as far as I'm taking it. I will say it helped, in that now I can at least massage the sites where my scars are. Most of the remaining pain is internal (I think). I have a difficult time even describing the pain to the pain specialist. It presents in different ways and degrees at different times. You have to seek the treatment that you feel best suits you mentally and physically.
