Has anyone has any success with the use of pumpkinseed oil for incontinence or over active bladder. Thanks

I had never heard of that one, seems most of the studies that showed promise were done with female subjects, here's what an AI model has to say about it....

Pumpkin seed oil has moderate-to-good evidence as a natural option for overactive bladder, especially in postmenopausal women and men with mild BPH-related OAB. It’s not as fast or strong as anticholinergic drugs or beta-3 agonists (mirabegron), but many people get noticeable improvement within 6–12 weeks, and it’s extremely safe for long-term use.If you’re considering it, look for cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil or a standardized Cucurbita pepo extract and give it at least 8–12 weeks at 1–2 g/day to judge effectiveness.

@web265 The NIH study I read said that you need 10gm per day. Which do you think is correct?

@recoverymom , I don't have an opinion on it either way. I've put about a teaspoon full of raw pepitas on my daily salad for years. I've done that for other reasons, not sure if it has any effect on my "urgency" but it is widely believed to support Prostate and urinary health among other health benefits.

For some time now I grind up pumpkin seeds (1/2 to 3/4 of a cup) and put it on my cereal/fruit breakfast concoction 3 or 4 times a week. Usually after 1 or 2 I notice a stronger stream. Apparently it has zinc in it and that helps shrink the prostate a little. Not a long term solution but it helps.
