Has anyone found a treatment that helps with peripheral neuropathy?

I suspect that everyone on this forum has been searching for a medication that helps their neuropathy and even though you no that all the internet claims are false we continue to waste hundreds of pounds. Desperation is a powerful force. Has any one been fortunate enough to find a genuine treatment. I just can’t believe that there are so many awful people who prey on our vulnerability and knowingly orchestrate such elaborate scams.

I’ve PN for several years. The first relief I found was Nerve Control 911. 2 capsules a day keeps the burning feet away! Then I had electric-like shocks to my feet. Horrible! Could not sleep at all. Doctor prescribed 5 mg cyclobenzprine, 1 each day. The shocking stopped. If my feet ever burn at night a little Vicks Vaporub calms them down quickly. Numbness is ever-present but I can handle that as long as there’s no pain.

I have diabetic neuropathy, which can be quite painful, along with the numbness, burning and tingling. I've spent lots of money on medications and devices that swore to provide relief, but none of them worked. The best thing I have found is Lidocaine patches, 5%, and they work wonderfully. Your doctor would have to prescribe them, but they are well worth looking into. They were recommended to me by someone in this discussion, and it has been a real blessing!

I guess we are in the same position. Desperately seeking some relief. Gabapentin makes me a zombie and opioids do nothing for this pain. I wear flip flops in the winter as I can’t stand anything on my feet but have full feeling. I avoid going out as I have to wear shoes. My question is would this be a spinal column issue. It’s so hard to get any dr appointments in the US timely.

@grapep12 The burning was gone when the shock started. So in addition to the 2 Nerve Control 911 I started taking 5 mg cyclibenzaprine which stopped the shocking. I take both, every day and have no burning or shocking.

My husband has TERRIBLE neuropathy on the back of his thighs. We couldn't make social plans because he couldn't sit anywhere but on very soft leather, and even then it was terrible. Once a week or so he'd apologize for waking me but we had to change the sheet. The wrinkles were too painful.
CBD gave him his life back. He has a medical marijuana card and gets CBD capsules from Trulieve. It's remarkable.

@grapep12 an EMG would help determine if this is a spinal compression issue

Gabapentin makes me grouchy, so I stopped taking it and pain lotion only last a couple hours. Recently I was shocked flat on the floor from static electricity due to an acrylic sweater I unloaded out of the dryer, and it took a couple weeks to survive but my neuropathy pain was gone along with some of the varicose veins in one leg! I wouldn't recommend this of course but it might give us a clue for a less aggressive treatment. The pain may not be permanently gone, so I use dryer sheets now and ground myself with cotton clothes and rubber soles shoes. Vyolet
