I can relate to your comments so well. My husband has been disabled for 10 years plus completely. Completely since then, wheel chair bound, blind, and now dementia etc. , all from Viet Nam. I am patiently waiting for my caregivers stipend from VA, new if many of you do not know about it. Little bureaucratic to get through application process but well worth it. As a caregiver one has to look on a bright spot vs a dark spot. It is the only way. I have also been diagnosed with a pre cancerous condition of the blood which has me obsessed I must say. But you cannot let every day be a dark day. SO try and have good days. And yes in order to get assistance you have to pay for it. Savings fly. But there are places that assist such as Senior Center and God Bless the VA. I cannot say enough good they have been able to bring to our lives. I think I would not have made it without them as well as Senior Center. Feel free to call me if you would like.
