The most dangerous vegetable is the avocado. Trying to remove the seed with a knife could be fatal to your fingers. Can you remove the seed with a spoon? I would like to think we old folks might do that, in our great wisdom.

Definitely. Edge around the avocado pit with a spoon. Hold it over the garbage can and pop out the loosened seed with the spoon.

@tatiana987 I have an “avocado tool”. Found it at Target. It has a toothed circle in the middle that fits over the pit. Press, turn, and it comes right out! I also have a bagel cutter as that was the big thing for the emergency rooms in New York. Bagel slicing accidents.
