@mbixler I am also on Ubrelvy but I am very interested in the neck spasms you mentioned. Who diagnosed this? The reason I ask is I just came from my osteopath who is addressing my neck issues in relation to my headaches and migraines. I too, have the tingling sensations from time to time. Im just not sure if I’m seeing the right people to address the problem.

@trish55 - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Having headaches, migraine and neck issues is a lot to contend with, along with tingling sensations.

How has the treatment gone so far with the osteopath? Are you getting some answers? Has any of the treatment helped the issues you've dealt with?

@trish55 I was referred to a Neurologist by my doctor, for having constant muscle spasms in my upper back and neck, of 6 months duration with a constant migraine during that period. The diagnosis was initially occipital outlet syndrome, but in the past 4 years has been relabeled as Cervical Dystonia. Was caused by whiplash injury from people using my car for target practice twice in 7 year span. Repeated soft tissue injury to the neck and upper back can trigger this condition, which can only be totally controlled by receiving Botox to the areas affected every 3 months. I’ve been receiving Botox since July of 2001, with only a few breakthrough migraines per 3 month cycle - which the Ubrelvy usually stops within an hour.
You definitely need a Neurologist to diagnose and treat this.
