@isadora2021 I think the main issue would be how your body reacts to having a low heart rate. If you're dizzy and falling, that's a problem. Some people have a low heart rate and feel just fine.
I think your conditioning when you were younger helped you as you aged. But don't get too thin! My husband is terribly thin & I struggle to put weight on him. If I make too many high calorie meals, then I gain the weight, not him. He still doesn't take in enough calories. ( Add to that, high fat meals KILL me since I don't have a gallbladder.)

@luvnursing52 That’s so funny 😆 Not the result you’re after!

You’re so right. I’m not deliberately trying to lose weight but I’ve lost quite a bit in a year of walking my pups. My clothes are baggy and I’m fitting into my cancer treatment period clothes. I’ve always weighed heavy even when skinny so weighing isn’t the best tool for me. I generally avoid it so the numbers don’t make me work to get weight off I don’t need to lose. It was challenging during treatment having to be weighed so often to get doses right! Then after HIPEC (and ICU feeding by IV) to put weight back on. I too have lost my gall bladder - mine during cytoreductive surgery - so I also need to watch what I eat or it all whooshes through me without absorption of the good stuff!

I’m currently working on making sure I eat properly. I have seen a dietician to help work on it. I read on the internet (one of the major US cancer research hospitals) that weight loss can easily affect heart health.

I’ll also bring that up with my GP. Thank you.
