How long do flares last and how often do they come?
I am in the midst of my first blephoritis flare. It's been about a week and I am applying the antibiotic ointment I got at Urgent Care. I'd like to follow up with a doctor, now that the ointment is running out. Is it best to see a GP, optometrist, or ophthalmologist? I am wondering how often flares occur for most sufferers, on average, and how long they last? Is it ever okay to begin wearing makeup again? I don't wear much, but I am sure missing using a little mascara and pencil eyeliner.

I think either an optometrist or opthalmologist could help you with bletharitis.
I’ve seen ophthalmologists for years. I suppose flares vary depending on the cause of the condition.
I wear some makeup most days, but only wear eye makeup on special occasions. I try to be as gentle with my eyes as possible. But, everyone is different.
