@celia16 Do your research and get a good doctor....that is of utmost importance. Look for different blogs in your area where people share their experiences. In today's world we have to be helpers one of another. Make sure the doctor has lot's of experience!

@chrispie, thanks. I will take your advice. Thankfully, I am a patient at Duke Ophthalmology. I see a cornea specialist and a retina specialist there. I have Salzman’s nodules and severe dry eye. I also see the retina specialist since I have Type 1 diabetes. So far, so good and no real damage due to type 1.

I have to vet the surgeon for sure. Not sure who it will be. I may need prior surgery to treat my Salzman’s nodules before surgery. I’ve had it on one eye before and it was brutal. I think I want tobdelay surgery as long as possible. My vision is pretty good. I can pass driving test without corrected vision.
