@janeto1357 Thank you so much, Janet..I will try the green tea and cranberry juice/sugar free grape juice once in awhile too. I went through the exact same thing with my previous GP. She never mentioned my high platelets -I questioned her about it and she referred me to a hematologist after several years of abnormal platelet counts.
My doctor at Mayo is good and doesn’t seem concerned that my platelets are near 800 as long as I’m on the blood thinner, and that concerns me. She saw how severe my neuropathy got after I started HU, so is very hesitant to try something else.
I’m just not sure what to do, and my labs are only every 3-6 months. How often do you?

@lrs1953 Hi, I see my Dr every three months and the PA in-between the three months and have my blood drawn on both visits. I also see my nephrologist every three months and have blood drawn so I immediately check my CBC for my platelets with him. The nephrologist doesn't get involved with the ET so I just check the CBC for the platelets on quest labs before my nephrologist even gets the results. Take care, and have a good night. Janet
