What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@loribmt I am thankful for each day I have been given.
I love visiting Northern California coast. We experienced both sunny weather and some stormy waves. I enjoyed both of them.

1 Reaction@zenren14, I was driving home Monday and happened to drive past a frosted over field not to far from a river and was surprised to see about 30 to 40 wild turkeys grazing on the open field. My first thought was don't they know that Thanksgiving is this Thursday 😂

3 ReactionsI live 20 miles from Luke AFB. Luke is the largest training base in the world so other countries send their pilots here for training.
They are flying the F-35 in twos over my community. I get to see and absolutely HEAR them fly by often.
I recently had the opportunity to video one. Usually they are too fast to catch on video. But I was successful!

3 ReactionsIt's damp, dark, and misting here in Middle Tennessee. It was 22° in the middle of the night, and now, at noonish, it is a balmy 40°.

1 Reaction@SusanEllen66 I worked in the plant where F-35s are assembled (the building is a mile long). Every day on my way to & from my workplace, I'd walk between jets in Final Assembly.
I would often see F-16s and F-35s being "test driven"; a very impressive sight. And as for the noise ... as they say, that's the sound of freedom.

3 Reactions@scottrl I used to live in NY several miles from Grumman Aerospace.
My husband at the time, was a Civilian employee of the Navy, a Senior Quality Control Engineer.
He inspected the F-14, and E2C.
One day he found a problem with the “windshield” on an F-14, and grounded the fleet worldwide.
Needless to say, people were not happy with his decision. But, that was his job!
The jets were tested out on the end of Long Island. However, the E2C went over our neighborhood. That plane had its own weird noise. I’m assuming it was from the radar.

I currently have cardinals, chickadees and sparrows with red heads in Pennsylvania. Beautiful Love birds you have. I watch my cats at the front door who watch the birds and squirrels at the bird feeder.
