I don’t know if this can be helpful or not, there’s so much information about the different remedies but you have to be careful…sometimes we think it won’t hurt you to try them but if she’s on medication it can interfere with recovery. I know that you want to do something to help your sister and relieve her pain but it would be best if you spoke with her doctor first to see what is best for her treatment, best wishes for you both.

I agree with frouke in saying it is best to consult with the doctor. But the pain sounds very concerning. Have you heard of palliative care? It can be for cancer patients and offer good pain control and other support (sometimes acupuncture, or counseling, etc.) in addition to whatever treatment your sister is getting. It should be free through the cancer center. Most pain can be controlled in a medical setting. What is she already doing? Also, as a cancer patient and the sister of a cancer patient I know family support is invaluable. But we don't have to find cures--I think our presence and love are enough. It is wonderful that you can just be a caring sister.

The oncologist should have her on a pain regimen which could include a fentanyl patch.
I had zero pain throughout my treatments and beyond.
My meds were very easy for me to wean off from.
Make sure she’s communicating with her oncology team!!!
