Pseudomonas putida and other bacteria the cause of eye issues?
Hello - I have suffered from eye pain (only the right eye) for years which has gotten gradually worse over the past 5-10 years. I have been to countless eye doctors/specialists with no answers. I had narrow angles, which was treated by laser procedure, and I do have dry eyes but they do not think that is what the pain of this magnitude comes from. The pain feels like it is in the muscles or area behind and/or around the eyeball. As well as the eye feeling pain and discomfort as well. I am wondering now if there is a connection to what is happening with my sinuses:
I have had recurrent sinus infections for decades. Finally in 2020 it was discovered that I had fungal sinusitis in the right sinus area, so I underwent surgery. It didn't eradicate everything so in 2022, I underwent surgery again (right side as well). I recently developed another sinus infection, on the right side only, and my primary thought it was a good idea to get a culture done, just in case. Here are the results:
Acinetobacter johnsonii - moderate growth
Staphylococcus capitis - Scant growth
Pseudomonas putida -Scant growth
Could this be something that can also travel to my right eye? I am wondering if this is what has been causing the pain to worsen so much over the past 5 years or so, or if I am just reaching for answers that don't make sense. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
Thank you in advance.

I am so so sorry you have experienced so much pain and eye infection for so long, and that answers and solutions are not readily forthcoming. I am just today seeing your post and wondered if you are feeling better, and if any Ophthalmologist or Infectious Disease specialist has been able to find the cause and offer other solutions? Have you considered a second opinion/treatment at one of the top Eye health institutions? If you live in the US, I've seen mentions of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (Florida) and Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute (Maryland). These instituties might have other locations as well as at the main centers. Mayo Clinic Eye Clinic in Rochester Minn also have received high ratings according to US News and World report. If you search in google Top Rankings for Eye institutes and "US News and World Report" you will find some a link to rankings in that article,
To date I have not been diagnosed with an eye infection, but was diagnosed recently with extremely narrow angles in both eyes. I will be having surgery soon and was looking for posts relating to that, and saw your post. I hope and pray your pain has been addressed and relieved, and your infection can be eradicated or controlled.
