If the main concern is the gigantic infection two months post-surgery, the simplest explanation is a secondary bacterial infection, possibly from residual bacteria or tissue damage during the procedure, or incomplete drainage. Antibiotics sometimes fail if it's a biofilm. You should absolutely not wait, get a second opinion from a different ENT and ask specifically about culturing the yellow mucus to ensure you're getting the right antibiotics.

@marcoye939 Totally agree. Sometimes it's yellow, sometimes its clear. I think that means it's getting better? A culture would work to define what the heck it is. thank you !
