Anyone had ear problems after Reclast?
Hi,
I took one infusion of Reclast 6 months ago and I am still having ear side effects. I have Ménière’s Disease in my right ear and was very concerned about side effects since it does mention ear congestion as one of many side effects. my doctor said it would not affect my ear. I followed the instructions before and after the infusion. After 5 days I started to hear low voices in my right ear 24/7 for three weeks. It’s called auditory hallucinations. Finally stopped, but now I have hyperacusis in my right ear and tinnitus in my left ear, which was normal. If you have any kind of ear problems do not take Reclast.

@cccs My tinnitus got worse, double also. It has been 1 year since and I am scheduled for next week (2nd). My endocrinologist never said anything about ear problems, but with TMJ, I don’t know if the Reclast or my TMJ is causing the worsening. I do not like trying to blame everything on Reclast but will look for study results with tinnitus mentioned.
Yes, I just got first Reclast, Tuesday reluctantly, and am dizzy, ears ringing loudly, tingling in fingers and toes, body aches, NEVER again!

2 ReactionsThank you both for your caring nature. It’s day 4 and I feel weaker. Appetite is horrible. Only been able to eat once a day. Very concerned about kidney issues after it was given to me in 12 minutes instead of 15 - 30! I am terrified.

1 Reaction@askjewels heavens! I thought mine was short! I have found out that with infusions…the shorter time for the infusion.. the more the adverse effects. Really sad what the medical profession has come down too!🙏🏻

@bytheriver I am not kidding you when I tell you that I saw the last half of that bag empty within possibly 3 minutes or less. In the time it took me to see it start happening, and 4 yells to the nurse, the lady half of that 5 mg bag emptied into me.

1 ReactionYes. I had tinnitus before Reclast and am experiencing on and off louder periods of ear ringing in the 9 days afterwards so far since. Not happy.
I have superior semicircular canal dehiscence (a hole in the ear canal). Any experience with impact of reclast on this? I wouldn't think that there would be an impact, but you never can tell... who would have thought it would impact hearing or tinnitus?
@askjewels I got Tinnitus after getting my Reclast last October and it has not gotten any better
@patpvb heard that once you get it. Mine gets louder and quieter at different times,
