I suddenly stopped taking 50 mg in morning and 50 mg at night. After 3 days my heart started racing and pounding like I was going to have a heart attack! So I resumed taking the med and everything is fine now I hope. Yesterday i accidentally drank a regular Gatorade and my heat felt occasionly it was going to jump out of my chest. Sugar affects me big time,so I stay away from it. The reason i wanted to get off metoprolol was because of my neuropathy and read somewheres the med aggravates neuropathy.
