She described it exactly. According to the doctors at the teaching hospital where I underwent treatment, most everyone has carried the HPV virus. Most everyone sheds it. It can be transmitted from your mother when you were born and live in your body your entire life. I was 70 when I was diagnosed with tonsil cancer. I had not had any physical contact in over ten years. The right side of my neck developed a swollen lymphnode and I was diagnosed shortly after. I also had Covid a few weeks before. Be relieved that it’s HPV and not another source because it’s far more treatable. Good luck. Your friends might be more sympathetic than you think!

@slmoore0626 I think Covid and the onslaught of new HPV Cancer cases may be related. I had Delta Covid and it came on after that.
