I came across an interesting study about tryptophan and the effectiveness of Budesonide and tryptophan - searching those two terms should take you to PubMed and the NIH National Library of Medicine.
here's the exact title - "Reduced Intake of Dietary Tryptophan Improves Beneficial Action of Budesonide in Patients with Lymphocytic Colitis and Mood Disorders"
