@pez01 : About the rings: I have used them for two years now. My second stomaversary (I guess I am being cute this morning ..and no, I have not given my stoma a name.) is coming right up . I really have no idea why. The VON (Victorian Order of Nurses, Ontario, Canada) nurse had me use them and I just continued.
I've never used a barrier wipe. Or powder. So far, so good.
I also cut the filter ring out of the Coloplast pouches. They are just a nuisance and I have never used one of those filter stickers.

@piki good to know. I did not name my stoma (although now you have me thinking.🤔). I have however named my bag…it’s called Biffy ( an old name for “ bathroom” which is what it is lol). I have a multitude of other bag names from my family…. Poo pouch, Terd tank, shit sack (excuse my French), stool storage, crap catcher, butt bag, kaka keeper, etc…have to have a sense of humor. I am 74 and 10 months into this fun game…
