Does anyone take the darzalex faspro shot?

Started Darzalex weekly Feb '25 and now down to monthly- no side effects that I know of. With Revlimid I've had two mild rashes, Steroids have been my biggest side effect with sleep or shall I say lack of sleep!!

I’ve had the shots for 3 yrs, first weekly, now monthly along with Revlimid on alternate days. No reactions or complications.

I took shots weekly for 3 or 4 months, also had chemo pills and steroids. Then no chemo no steroids & went to shots monthly. I take Venclexta daily. Together They have gotten my #’s down. Waiting for my oncologist to say let’s do another bone marrow biopsy to see if all this has been killed out 🤞🏼. Prayer for yall

@soonerfan, what does he mean by acting "weird"? Do you feel different after your monthly Darzalex Faspro injection?

REPLY

He says I act more weepy, and I get more emotional. That might be his take on me. Though
My skin is more sensitive. Especially where they put in the shot. I would hope that’s normal.

I’ve taken Darzalex Faspro subcutaneous for 3 yrs, first weekly, then bi weekly, now monthly for maintenance of my remission status. No obvious reactions. Initially I took Benadryl, Tylenol. And montelucast prior to shot but stopped that after about a year. Possibly that would help with sensitivity

@soonerfan my husband has only had 4 faspro shots but he is kind of emotional after and on the next two days. At first I thought it was because he almost died before they figured out that his myeloma had changed and wasn’t showing up in the blood tests anymore. Now that it has been 3 weeks since he was discharged from the hospital, I now believe this might be a reaction to the dex.
Like @dickmm he takes Benadryl and Tylenol as well, he only had montelukast during the first two shots. He takes the others and the dex on the morning of his shot, he is also on pomalidomide.
Are you taking any support meds that might be causing this?

REPLY

No other meds are likely to be a problem. I also take Acyclovir, eliquis, and several other meds for cardiovascular issues.

I’m on Midodrine, I also take Venclexta 400 mg daily.
He just notices my moodiness or weepiness after the shot.
I notice the sensitivity, but that is probably the Venclexta since it happens more frequently than just after the shot. I also have heart issues.

Oh gosh, I’m glad they figured it out. Hopefully these Darzalax shots will get him in remission. I will pray for him.
All this is so scary! I do feel so much better than when I first was diagnosed. I still have days I’m dizzy but overall better. If my blood pressure would not be like a roller coaster, I’d be a happy camper:) all the time.
I do take the Tylenol, but refuse the Benadryl, it dries me out and I have issues with dehydration with the Venclexta, I run moderately dehydrated. I drink tons of water, and do those liquid IV’s. My oncologist says no steroids, after a stint in the hospital with swelling and water retention. That might be why I have the sensitivity.
