If you have these symptoms would love your input.
Been to so many Dr’s, none have a clue.
Seems spike protein has messed me up, serious chronic fatigue, lately skin feels like I had a sunburn, burns and itches. Nothing visable.
Chonic fatigue hits me hard 1-2 days a week. Leaves me utterly exhausted for days, had every test imaginable.
Do others have these symptoms? What are you doing about it? Need some help.
Once again been to so many Dr’s, all types. They know nothing about this condition.

I have the fatigue also yes. Acupuncture sometimes helps if I go one a week for a few weeks!
I am also looking into bioresonanztherapy and blood cleaning. Other than that I checked my blood with a holistic health practitioner and she recommended specific supplements and herbal teas. I also make sure I take some for rest and very gentle yoga. Lots of sunlight where possible. Hope some of this helps!
@amyqk At first, I dealt with the fatigue. That’s fine, but now it’s worse stuff, especially brain fog, dry mouth, and a crummy mood always. suefish
@heryl44
That sounds identical to me. I have found that I have to use only sublingual because anything I swallow is not really absorbed. I had to take a nap every day and it’s from anywhere from one to three hours.
Does your chronic fatigue nail you later in the week?
My chronic fatigue varies in intensity. Sometimes it seems to be increased if I don't sleep well. Exercise, even very limited exercise like unloading and loading the dishwasher, can sometimes knock me out for hours. I recently pushed myself driving for a couple of hours. I was down for two days afterward. It's just a continuing limitation on how much I can do. Very frustrating.
@suefish
That can be from dehydration. You may need electrolytes and some extra salt. I use Propel powder and a bit of LMNT and that helps with the brain fog, the dry mouth and cracked lips, and even the bad mood.
Have you had a pulse oximetry study and/or a Holter monitor?
A lot of things that go along with long COVID have to do with your oxygen levels and heart rate.
@doug8576
I am in a similar boat. I just got back from Mayo and they did a pulse oximetry study and a Holter monitor. This showed wildly fluctuating oxygen levels and high heart rate whether awake or sleeping, regardless of activity.
If you have a high heart rate, any kind of exertion whether that be mental or physical can be exhausting. I also found out I have postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) which manifests as getting lightheaded and tired after leaning over, bending, or getting up from lying down. I learned from my visit at Mayo that these symptoms are common in people with long COVID.
I also have a kind of tachycardia that occurs at all times, including sleeping. No wonder I am so wiped out.
May I harmonize with you? I know the words! Three steps to unload the dishwasher to avoid total exhaustion: each section ( silverware. Glasses & Cups then plates and bowls. Pans) require s 3 separate efforts to accomplish the unloading. What once was 20 to 30 min now requires 1 hr! Every activity requires planning. Energy required for task. Energy required for recovery. Adjustments made to obtain assistance with housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping. So frustrating I feel like Sisyphus trying to move that boulder uphill.

I have been right where you are and feel for you… 3 years post Covid, that changed pretty much everything and with SOB essentially doing nothing! All of which has necessitated learning how to do many normal daily activities in new ways, that are tedious and very time consuming and can be frustrating!
From a well trained pulmonologist, who took 2 years to be connected to and 6 months wait for an appointment, I learned that many long Covid patients have difficulty with the muscles extracting the amount of oxygen they need yet O2 sats can be normal, so the fatigue is hard to quantify with normal parameters. The muscles are not getting the oxygen needed to propel them and therefore the fatigue sets in from a different mechanism than would be from exercise that might mediate exhaustion with lactic acid it’s different than that. So things to do just make sure it isn’t heart related if that hasn’t been checked out and then try to be active in like 10 minute high intensity little sessions to try to approve improve your muscle extraction
I am a little improved blood pressure was erratic that has stabilized I had borderline POTS a year ago, that has stabilized, so am hopeful for improvement that likely will not be a full recovery. Have to be persistent and go one day at a time! Long Covid is tough, with the medical path thar is very convoluted and still uncharted in some ways. Good that you found ways to manage and can get help with the things that may be more difficult
Positive energy to you and hope for better healing on your journey!

2 ReactionsThe itching and burning of the skin makes me think mcas which can go along with long covid. Some people find relief with zyrtec (once a day) and pepcid (2 times daily). It is a histamine issue that causes it. It would probably be worth researching. A low histamine diet is also suggested for that. As far as fatigue goes, I have found the best approach is to do a little at a time and rest in between. Just pushing through has caused more problems for me personally. I hope you find helo/relief soon.
