Hi My name Raymond DeLuca In 2006 had a hemipelvectomy and had Right llium removed in leg along with muscles, glands and other unknown parts . I had chondrosarcoma and lege was removed and at 1st was permanent but they had to reattach after bleeding to death 30 pints transfusions at Slone Kettering in NYC. Since then pain indescribable with Vascular issues an issue since Blood not moving back towards heart as it should . So i take an opioid since then and only issue is they consider us all addicts because of government not knowing the facts of each patient. i even reduced to keep brain functions normal. I got an Online degree while in rehab and that is an every day PT workout and swim laps 2-3 a week at local YMCA a must to keep weight down since I cannot walk at all. So I am alive and I fight to stay that way and yes fear that it may return in another form always there. Enough PEACEt

Thinking of you and all you do to keep your best life after a surgery and diagnosis like that. And, you've been doing this for almost 20 years too. Glad you are here and shared your story!

@lPane73 Patricia I too have neuropathy and osteoporosis. My conditions are probably related to gluten sensitivity. You may want to get tested for such. My neuropathy is not painful at all and luckily, I do not have balance issues. I am doing some strength training in a cautious manner. Sensible shoes help too. This website will offer you a variety of perspectives and advice.

Hello Everyone,
I have been diagnosed with spinal Stenosis and lumbar spondylosis. It looks like I am a good candidate
for the Minuteman G5 to go between my L4 & L5. I've searched everywhere (and put out an APB on
this medium) for reviews. I am 73 years old. Lower back pain and left thigh pain. Nerves are being pinched
in L4 and L5 also between L5 and S1. Read the minuteman has a limitation for the L5 and S1. Lots of positive
reviews on You Tube by the manufacturer. Did see some on this medium by older people with other problems,
now I can't find them. Any reviews either positive or negative would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am Judy and have spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis. I was also given a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylosis. I have done everything I possibly could to reduce my pain. Yoga regularly, cut out sugar and changed my diet. I try not to over use ibuprofen. I have taken Humira, gabapentin ,tramadol and have had ablation. I find that only the yoga and diet changes have helped but by mid day I am always suffering with pain. I no longer take any medications but use supplements. I do also use CBD/ with small amount of THC at night to help me sleep. I have also started using red light therapy with some moderate success. The pain is always there in varing degrees.

Greetings! My name is Elle. I have various conditions and have been in Chronic Pain since the late 70s. I'm presently having problems finding a new pain medication that works to any extent. I have tried most pain prescriptions and found Fentanyl was the best in preventing me from passing out from the pain. I was able to use Fentanyl for 24 years until our local DEA said no more prescribing of Fentanyl unless you're suffering from a terminal condition (i.e., cancer). I'm allergic to Morphine, which causes me to experience auditory and visual hallucinations. Are there any suggestions out there for what I could recommend to my Pain Doctor to try? Your time and consideration of this matter are very much appreciated.

@judiannwi You need to find a pain specialist at a reputable hospital who may be able to try some minimally procedures. I have one who tried 10 procedures including a spinal stimulator. I have spoken nap stenosis and degenerative disc disease. We tried everything. Until something new develops, I’m on Norco. I live alone and I’m a young 73 years old with no underlying conditions like high blood pressure or colosturel. I live in a big house and need to downsize. Living with pain sucks.

@linda6101 . I am also 73. I live with my husband in a large house and are taking steps to down size. This pain think sure does suck. It has been 8 years of this. I live in area where health care is a challenge. I have to travel to see a specialist.
