Is anyone taking both Alendronate and a Collagen supplement?
I have read good things about Collagen supplements for osteoporosis. I can’t, however, find any literature that indicates if taking a collagen supplement will interfere with the bone activity occurring while also taking Alendronate. Doctor is only recommending Calcium and Vitamin D supplements. I would very much appreciate hearing if anyone has any experience taking both or if you have any information to share, positive or negative. Thank you

I found several articles when I did a google search, including the link below that concludes: "Generally, collagen supplements and Fosamax (alendronate), a bisphosphonate medication used to treat osteoporosis, are considered safe to take together. However, potential gastrointestinal interactions and the timing of administration should be carefully considered and discussed with a healthcare professional." I am not on alendronate, but take AlgaeCal collagen powder that includes 'Fortibone', which is the recommended ingredient to help bones.
