I hear you Cindy, and I went through that too. My horrible therapist damaged my back in four places. Do not hesitate to call them on it. Write a formal complaint letter to the therapy company he works for. Spell it out, call it unreasonable and inhumane, and refuse to work with him again. I did those things, but he's still employed. However as I observed him in the succeeding months as I worked with a different therapist, the bad guy had really toned down his approach. So maybe the letter helped someone else. There's just no call for abuse from a medical provider. Don't let anyone hurt you like that. What the surgeon did to you was horrible enough for a lifetime, so the therapists shouldn't be making it worse. Watch out for the after effects. Real damage could have been done. Go easy and be careful. If you get to a point where your knee fails to progress or seems to be in constant pain, get to a sports medicine physician and see if there is bursitis or tendonitis or some other kind of soft tissue damage. If there is, you won't be the first patient to get it. Therapy got my whole leg messed up as well as my back. Sonar shockwave therapy fixed that but it took three extra months and thousands of dollars out of my pocket. Hope you have better luck going forward.

@genie15 Agree. I am in a totally different place now and have my first session Monday. Thankfully at my ten day follow up all is ok with my knee though he pushed it way too far. I really struggle with inflammation and even my PT said that if the inflammation was down I'd have almost 0 degree flexion. I stretched quite a bit last night and not today it really hurts and it sore. Still nauseous from my Xarelto but thankfully last night was the last one and it caused stomach pains and nausea for me. I'm hoping once out of my system that helps things and I can take occasional Aleve to help.
