Stopping Evenity Early

I decided to stop Evenity after seven treatments because I seemed to develop increased symptoms of osteoarthritis in knees and hands while on it, in addition to generalized stiffness and joint pain. Has anyone experienced this or stopped Evenity for other reasons before completing 12 treatments?

Evenity definitely causes memory problems and my Dr confirmed it and took me off it right away.
There are other medications that can cause memory ‘fog’ so I always try to research the medication I’m prescribed

@pt109 I am about to have my 7th Evenity injection this week. No memory fog I may have some aches and pains, but it’s difficult to know because I have fibromyalgia so I had the aches and pains before I ever started Evenity

@ditobin I received my 9th shots two weeks ago. I developed for the first time knee joint swelling and pain. I could barely do steps without grimacing. Like you, I have been experiencing more aches and pains in my low back and mid back. I heard a common side effect is joint pain.

Joint pain in my ischial tuberosity is excruciating. Primary Care sent me for stat X-ray on Friday, thinking I might have had a hairline fracture. Nothing found. But, it’s almost unbearable. Really uncomfortable in the car; looking for a coccyx pillow to use in car; or else stay home ?! Not me. I’ll tough it out, but it sucks all the energy out of me for spontaneity to just get up & go. Going to try Physical Therapy & see if that helps 🧡

@ditobin I am so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I pray that you will get the answers that you need and the relief. I was scheduled to go for a Neurosurgical Consult. I had a couple of MRIs and they show new compression fractures. I canceled the appointment because it was an inconvenient time and I will reschedule. My pain is mostly in my low back.

My sister has experienced memory loss that I am convinced was caused by taking Evenity. It’s been progressive

yes, both as she does every year.
The reason I relate the memory issue to Evenity is because it started after the 2or3rd injection
I’m a retired psychiatric nurse so I know just enough to watch for anything

The reason I relate the memory issue to Evenity is because it started after the 2or3rd injection
I’m a retired psychiatric nurse so I know just enough to watch for anything

Ugh. I hope that’s not the case for me! Geez. That’s awful. I’m so sorry. I wonder if that will clear when infusions are stopped or completed?

Oh gosh. So sorry she has not improved

Mainly just discomfort for a day or two by the injection sites.

I do always concern myself if I forget something, and a month from turning 65 -ugh!
