SugarWise
Hi, Bill Gates is promoting a product called "SugarWise". It is supposed to be beneficial for Type 2 diabetes. I respect Bill Gates but this does not seem likely. Has anyone tried the product?

Never heard of it.
But a quick search yielded some disturbing results.
Apparently Bill Gates has nothing to do with it.
It's part of a system of questionable supplements.
I couldn't find any reviews that seemed genuine.
Draw your own conclusions.

3 ReactionsRubbish. Check on FB for a long video, narrated by Bill Gates.
Welcome @mcalpine, I haven't seen the video but it's more than likely an AI fake. There are many of them, especially on Facebook - https://malwaretips.com/blogs/natural-diabetes-cure-scam-exposed/.
The SugarWise Pro supplement pictured in the discussion appears to be using a name similar to the "SugarWise" certified products - https://sugarwise.org/sugarwise-products/. I noticed that the product picture in the discussion description is no longer available on Amazon which I'm guessing is because quite a few of the reviews mentioned it's a scam and doesn't work.

3 ReactionsI found this with a quick AI search
Sugar Wise is widely regarded as a risky supplement with significant warning signs and accusations of being a scam, mostly due to its lack of scientific transparency, unclear company information, and marketing practices often seen in questionable supplement brands. While some user testimonials online claim positive effects on glucose and cholesterol levels, these are often anecdotal and typically found on sites with financial interest in promoting the product, not independent clinical review sources.[youtube +3]
Key Issues and Red Flags
• Sugar Wise uses vague marketing language and provides no transparent third-party lab testing or Certificates of Analysis, which are essential for evidence-based supplementation.[youtube +1]
• The supplement’s ingredient list and dosages are not publicly disclosed or independently verified through scientific testing, making it impossible to judge its efficacy or safety.[youtube +1]
• Patterns seen with scam supplements include sudden popularity during ingredient trends, recycled marketing content, poor transparency, and lack of established company history — all present with Sugar Wise.[malwaretips +1]
• Some sources directly label Sugar Wise as a scam designed to exploit individuals seeking diabetes or blood sugar support, citing deceptive advertising and the absence of substantiated results.[malwaretips]
Real Supplement Industry Standards
• Supplements that legitimately support blood sugar management offer transparent ingredient sourcing, independent lab tests, and are backed by existing clinical studies.[youtube]
• The Federal Trade Commission and Food and Drug Administration warn against products making miracle claims, as many are not backed by reliable scientific evidence and may be considered scams.[consumer.ftc]
Testimonials and User Experiences
• The testimonials about Sugar Wise’s benefits are mostly found on its sales pages and lack the reliability of peer-reviewed evidence or unbiased consumer reviews.[sugarwise]
• There are no recognized, high-quality scientific studies supporting Sugar Wise, and most legitimate medical sources do not reference or recommend it.[youtube +1]
Expert Recommendation
• If you’re considering any blood sugar supplement, consult with your physician and look for products with full ingredient list transparency, third-party testing, and published clinical trial results.[consumer.ftc +2]
In summary, Sugar Wise displays many warning signs characteristic of supplement scams and should be approached with caution if not avoided entirely

1 ReactionAlso this with regard to bill gates
There is no credible connection between Bill Gates and the Sugar Wise supplement. Bill Gates and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are known for their global health philanthropy efforts, which recently have focused on making proven weight-loss drugs like Wegovy and Mounjaro affordable and accessible in lower-income countries. These medications are scientifically backed GLP-1 agonists originally developed for type 2 diabetes and obesity management.
However, Sugar Wise, which has been flagged as a likely scam supplement with no scientific backing or transparent ingredient information, is unrelated to Bill Gates or his foundation’s health initiatives. Bill Gates does not endorse Sugar Wise, and his efforts focus on evidence-based medications with established efficacy rather than unverified supplements marketed online.[newsweek +3]
In summary, Bill Gates is associated with broad access to legitimate medications for chronic disease management but has no involvement with Sugar Wise or similar unsubstantiated supplements

1 Reaction@mcalpine I agree with @johnbishop. These days you can’t trust anything on the internet because of AI. There is a video going around also, of our Prime Minister Mark Carney promoting a get rich quick scheme with an initial investment of $350! There is no way he would do something like this either.
