Liver Cancer along with CKD and heart failure: Treatment options
My husband has been recently diagnosed with liver cancer. He has other health issues I'm sure will not be in his favor, congestive heart failure and kidney disease stage 3.
We will be meeting with oncologist for the first time next week to discuss his options.

@cburris, it is always an extra challenge to treat cancer while dealing with other chronic conditions like kidnew disease and heart failure.
Have you heard about a specialty called cardio-oncology?
Mayo Clinic offers expertise in addressing heart problems (called cardio-oncology), potential or current issues. The Cardio-Oncology Clinic (https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/cardio-oncology-clinic/overview/ovc-20442193) evaluates people prior to cancer treatment and patients who have experienced side effects due their treatment.

2 ReactionsThey are going to do mapping to see if he can do Y90 radioemblization 11/28. We have appt. today with oncologist. I had not heard about cardio oncology.
