I've been seeing a hematologist for about ten years (every 6 months) initially for thrombocytopenia and then he diagnosed MGUS. He has told me he's planning on a bone marrow biopsy at some point but hasn't done it yet.
Male 78. My platelet count is about 20, so I bruise very easily. I've also had two brain bleeds from hitting my head.

@steveutnv
Are you at a reputable cancer hospital? I would like to know why he has not done a BMB with your platelet's numbers so low. Being here on Mayo Connect, but treated at City of Hope, I know i must advocate for myself. I hope you ask for a BMT or more to check where your body is in real time.
