Hello yes, I just got diagnosed. I have my appointment on Monday with the Endocrinologist. I have multiple nodules, but they on biopsied one on my left lobe. There is one on my right that also appears cancerous, however it was not biopsied since it was small. I'm guessing that the next step is normally surgery to remove my entire thyroid. What has your experience been?
It’s important to go to an endocrinologist that is familiar with patients with thyroid cancer. your best bet is to take one step at a time and see what the endocrinologist has to say. Depending on the situation and everybody has different cancer situation the endocrinologist may just say we’re gonna wait and see it just depends so it’s very hard to answer that question the important thing is to see what the endocrinologist has to say and take it from there. I used to do the same thing as you’re doing I used to think of the absolute worst scenario and I drove myself completely crazy. See what the endocrinologist has to say and then you can decide what you want to do. With thyroid cancer everybody’s different every situation is different so it’s hard to say it’s good for one it’s gonna be good for the other there a lot of things that going to decision that the endocrinologist will make. My very very best wishes to you!!! try to go with the flow which is very hard for me to do. Good luck to you.

Does anyone have any general questions about papillary thyroid cancer variants. Many years ago I had diffuse sclerosed variant which is quite rare and can be aggressive.
