I have ocular rosacea and blepharitis, but no mites. Over the years, I have had a few of the Lipiflow treatments, which really helped. Besides taking more omega-3 fish oils, using the daily eyelid scrubs, and doing the blinking exercises, I have had 3 IPL laser treatments (now considered the state-of the-art treatment) and will have my third treatment in December. Unfortunately, each treatment is $400, and it’s not covered by insurance. The money would be well worth if it cured or significantly helped with my red, dry and tearing eyes. But, it doesn’t seem much better. I’m wondering if maybe antibiotics would help, but my ophthalmologist doesn’t seem to want to go this route.
