Have I understood correctly that doctors are hesitant to treat you because of concerns about potential legal liability given your profession? If so, I'm sorry you're facing this challenge.
Dan (@dannoyes), another member of our group, is currently being treated at Mayo Clinic and has been very satisfied. I think connecting with him could be helpful.
Another alternative to help you find a new doctor close to your area could be the Epilepsy Foundation Helpline: https://www.epilepsy.com/helpline.
