Heterogeneous, hypoechoic solid nodule with mildly irregular margins
within the mid pole with punctate internal echogenic foci measures 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm-TIRADS 5.

TR5: Highly suspicious (at least 7 pts) FNA if nodule at least 1 cm

Results are: FNA biopsy report states suspicious for papillary carcinoma.

Can anyone tell me what happened for them after this?

I will see the Endocrinologist in less than 2 weeks.

My papillary thyroid cancer was diagnosed as a result of a lymph node removed during my tongue cancer surgery. That was Oct. 2023. Surgeon said not to worry. I should complete my chemo and radiation for my original cancer, heal up, and when all recovered come back for thyroid surgery/ removal. Point here is he said it was a slow growing cancer and we were in no rush. I,had my,thyroid removed in May of 2024.
During the diagnosis of my tongue cancer my thyroid wad biopsied in 15 places. Fine needle biopsy. All were negative. But cancer had spread to the lymph node so it must have been there.....somewhere! Its all gone now. Cancer free and learning to like levothyroxine!

@lovecats2025, I joined your 3 questions about the diagnostic process into one discussion here:

I did this to help people follow your journey with diagnosis. I'm glad to hear that you will see the endocrinologist in less than 2 weeks. Now is a good time to gather your questions. I'm sure your mind is reeling. It might be helpful to have pen and paper (or your phone) nearby to jot down questions for the endocrinologist as they pop into your head so they don't go round and round in your mind.

To help you get started, scroll down almost to the bottom of this Mayo information to the section called "Preparing for your appointment" https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/thyroid-cancer/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20354167
There you will find questions to ask and more.
