Staphylococcus infections

I had a sore throat for about 10 days and I went to a GP who told me I didn't have an infection. I traveled to another place and I visited another doctor who he requested a throat culture since there were strep cases. The culture showed staphylococcus aerus and it caused me tonsillitis.
I wore a mask while I traveled bit I am worried if I infected someone, although the national authorities reassured me that there were no deaths reported from staph.
But, I read that many people are colonized with staph and they could later develop an infection, so maybe could I have colonized someone that he will get infected in 5 months and die ?
And also if you are outside does the probability of infecting someone decrease?

And I really don't know what I had (colonization or infection) since each doctor has a different opinion.

Hi, I had this in my throat a year ago and it’s came back 3 times since.
What antibiotics were you on to clear this and how long for.
I have been told it’s very strange to have in the throat it’s normally strep.
Thanks

Hi, I was on augmenting for 10 days. After the end of treatment I was clear of staph bacteria. They told me that staph lives in the throat of many people.
