Hello,My girlfriend is experiencing severe vulvodynia pain that we cannot figure out how to manage. She had ongoing yeast / BV infections for about 4 months, then some recurrent UTIs for 3, now we must be dealing with vulvodynia pain since she is negative for everything. Her pain is right around the outside of the vagina as well as on the labia minora. In total we are on month 8 of figuring this out I believe at this point. It will run up to being 9/10 pain. I worry for her mental health. She is currently trying gabapentin 300mg x 3 times a day but has not gotten to fully try that because she works so much. She has tried:Tylenol/Ibuprofen, Ketoralac orally and IV, Topical Vaginal diazepam, Amitryptiline orally, Amitryptiline/gabapentin/baclofen cream, Topical lidocaine, Ativan orally, Oxycodone, estrogen cream, and just stopped birth control about 10 days ago.The only thing that has succesfully brought her pain down from a 9/10 to a 3/10 was dilaudid IV 2 days ago. We are contemplating returning to the ER tonight because she is at work as a nurse and cannot keep going on like this. She has been attending pelvic floor therapy for months with no results either. At this point we need something for pain control. Her pain recently with the vulvodynia will run up to a 9/10 or 10/10 and stay there all day.
