I have had 2 shots of Prolia and will NEVER take another. It is a terrible drug! I have pain in my legs, feel generally crummy and old, my finger joints are now permanently swollen, it has raised my blood pressure and I have lost about 1/4 to 1/3 of my hair! Prior to starting this drug, I was statistically in the top 5% of healthy Americans! Do lots of research yourself on the drug - do NOT believe what the doctors tell you. Check out all of the osteoporosis sites for information. I will take only calcium and ergocalciferol and exercise. Have your doctor calculate your risks of breaking a hip or bones in the next 10 years. My T score is -4.7 and the risks are like 28% and 38% of a broken bone in the next 10 years. I will take that risk rather than live with the results of these drugs. As you probably know, they all contain chemotherapy drugs and Prolia has a lot so consequently the results I got. It is used to treat bone cancer.

Good luck and be your own advocate - do not trust and doctors! K

So sorry you've had severe reaction to Prolia shots. Researching and reading reviews from those who are presently or previously taken osteoporosis drugs I highly recommend for anyone considering taking them. One of the major issues I've had with the shots is that it is a long-lasting drug in your system, so if you do have concerning side-effects, it is going to take awhile before it is out of your system again. Good luck to you and hope things will get better for you soon.
