Diverticulitis and colectomy
Has anyone had part of their intestine removed? I have diverticulitis and sometimes I still experience discomfort and constipation.

Yeah. That thought scares me as well. I’m having a colonoscopy again to see how bad things are. So we will see. Sorry you are still having issues.

@sound1829 - I think your message to @mamacita may be incomplete, if you'd like to post it again. Do you also have diverticulitis?

I am also new . Don’t know where to start . Just asking or more food suggestinons I can eat .
@greatoma - this would be a great discussion to check out for some posts that might mention how others with diverticulitis eat and/or to ask questions about how others eat or food suggestions:

@lisalucier
Thank you for the suggestion.

1 ReactionI had several diverticulitis attacks until I was told I had an abscess and needed surgery! Antibiotics were not helping. On September 24, 25 I had elective surgery and I’m so sorry I did! The recovery so far 5 weeks out has been tough! If you can avoid surgery at all please try!
