I had been on Prolia for 2-3 years, while on it I had 3 compresssion fractures,T6,7 and 8,also a fractured rib. Had a full body scan in July ,which showed I have severe osteoporosis. My dr. Wanted me to see a Rheumatologist and start Forteo injections, but I couldn’t get in until May 2020. She said she would order it for me ,but had to get an authorization ! Ineverheard anything from her. Meantime ,I started having neck shoulder and arm pain ,went to see a PA,as I couldn’t get in to see my dr.,told her my story and she said she has seen better luck with ProliathanForteo ,she wrote a lengthy note to my dr. And I finally got a call saying my drs. Was putting me back on Prolia. Was going to go for my b-12 shot and Prolia shot ,butTHENI heard from a friend that her Rheumatologist said Thatshe shouldn’t be onProlia ,it sometimes “triggers things”. Whatever that means ....remember that I had been on Prolia when Ihad allmyfractures!!!! Called my dr.,spoke to her nurse’s voice mail ,but never heard back ! Don’t know what to do now ...am thinking of going to Urgent Care for an X-ray and go from there!

So sorry for all the problems you are having. I can sure understand why you are upset! I would suggest you read the comments from others on this site if you haven't already done that, do some research on the internet about these drugs, their side-effects, and read reviews from people who have "actually" been on them, it might help you make some decisions yourself on how to proceed. From my experience doctors do not all share the same views on which drugs to use to treat osteoporosis. I hope you can find a doctor that will be more prompt about seeing you and also takes prompt action for health care needs and having face-to-face discussions with you. So important to have doctors and clinics that we can depend on to be reactive to our health issues.....in the end we still have to advocate for ourselves and make the decisions on "if", and what medications we will put in our bodies or procedures to have done on them.
