Have anyone tried collagen with Fortibone for their Osteoporosis? If so, did it help?

I am currently taking Key Collagen sold by Nutrikey. It has 5 mg of FORTIBONE and it also has three other types of collagen peptides by Gelita.

In a few days, I will run out of Key Collagen and I'm switching to a product with 5 mg of FORTIBONE only. This product is sold by Dr. R. Keith McCormick. It's called Osteo Collagen-Pep. I'm switching because it is less expensive than the product by Nutrikey and I'm not convinced collagen peptides are effective so I only want the FORTIBONE.
I don't know if it's working, yet. My next DEXA scan will be in a year. I've been taking FORTIBONE for six months. The two studies that I know of participants took it for a year.

@mev123 , I order my fortibone from Canada, the product is called Canprev Bone, it has other bone supporting nutrients as well. Depending on how many you buy, it’s $28 to $30 per 30 servings. The company I order from is called Vitamart.
Free shipping on orders $79 and above.

I just ordered OsteoNaturals based on A.I. research. Is anyone familiar with it? I've taken Healthy Bones collagen and Designs for Health Whole Body Collagen before but OsteoNaturals is supposed to target bones rather than bones, skin and joints and give bones the biggest bang for the buck. It has 5 gm Fortibone. I've read here that Dr. McCormick's collagen is also a good product. Any info would be appreciated.

@bethieb I've been taking it for about a year now. I won't have my next DEXA until July. I hope it's helping.

@bethieb Dr. McCormick was selling his product stating "Regarding the safety of OsteoCollagen-Pep:Fortibone is FDA approved." I asked for documentation to show it was FDA approved and he told me to contact the maker of Fortibone, Gelita. Of course they didn't respond so I told Dr. McCormick it was his product that was stating FDA approval. He finally said "The FDA does not approve nutritional supplements. Rather, companies comply with FDA guidelines during their manufacturing process." I then said that he is misleading people and he should take that statement out. His response "Corrected...my sincerest apologies." I buy Sparkle Wellness.

I have been taking OsteoNaturals fortibone for about a year now. Next Dexa is still a year away though. I haven’t had any issues with it so far. I put it in my coffee or water first thing in the morning. I also take their osteostim right now, along with thorne advanced bone support.

I have been taking OsteoNaturals since the end of August. Chose it because it contains only Fortibone with no other collagen peptides or additives. Wanted to focus solely on bone impact. It is also economical if you compare costs per serving.

I decided to trust Keith McCormick because of his book Great Bones, which is impressively annotated; his primary motivation for studying and acquiring expertise was to impact his own osteoporosis diagnosed while a world class athlete. He has a science background and had been a licensed chiropractor. Finally, he appears to be a modest person....not like some of the UTube hucksters.

In an about 2-3 weeks, I realized that my facial skin was noticeably softer and more elastic. Quite surprising to a 75 year old with exposure to sun, smoking and alcohol in younger years. Any benefits other than stronger bones would be icing on the cake.

Prior to this time, I had used the Vital Proteins Product for a couple of months. No obvious changes except to my wallet.

Last DEXA was in June. It will be awhile before an next one unless I private pay. Sure hope I see some results; also concentrating on targeted nutrition, select supplementation, and targeted activity to increase muscle in addition to playing tennis. I like the idea of hopping.

@hopefullibrarian I’m considering taking Osteo-Collagen Prep. Are you still taking it? Did you have any side-effects from it? I wish it wasn’t a powder you have to drink. Does it taste ok? Thank you!

@wondering1 I stir 5 gm into my morning coffee and never know it's there. It's tasteless and completely dissolves.
